The Twist Dripper Story
Two mates on opposite ends of the earth. One chasing sheep in New Zealand, the other eating biltong in South Africa. One thing in common - they love a good cup of coffee.
Coffee is one of those industries that's saturated, on saturated, with a sprinkling of saturated and most people are already set in their coffee rituals.
So why on earth did we bring another coffee maker to market?
Honestly... there was one key moment.
George's father-in-law benched his $1000 espresso machine for this basic 3 part Twist Dripper. "I can't be bothered with that machine anymore."
Dylan and George were already using a Twist Dripper every morning. Now friends and family were ditching their machines for ours.
This was 2023.
Both being product developers, we knew a 'cool idea' was only the beginning. We knew the amount of effort it takes to turn an idea into a production ready product - nevermind actually selling it. But we kicked the can down the road because we could.
What followed was 2 years of development, many prototypes, injection mould redos, many coffees drunk, some mess, some tears - but a great little brewer was born and we couldn't be happier to share it with the world.
The goal was simple...
Build something simple to use, simple to clean, simple to understand, with parts that don't break or can be replaced. And my goodness, it turned out exactly that - I’m biased though :P
One of our favourite things about the Twist Dripper is the flavour it gets out of the beans. The hybrid brewing method gives you a really tasty, solid cup that maximises flavour with minimal effort.
So if you're after a solid cup of tasty coffee with almost zero cleanup and no bits in your cup - the Twist Dripper is a solid option. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
